What began as a small preschool has grown into a fully accredited school serving students from Pre-K2 through 8th grade. At Grace, we believe education is more than academics, it’s about nurturing faith, building character, and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

Our Admissions Process

We want the admissions process to be clear and supportive from start to finish. Here’s what you can expect:

Submit an Inquiry Form
Start by submitting an inquiry form (you’re already on the right track!).

Schedule a Tour
Touring our campus is the best way to experience Grace firsthand. During your visit, you’ll see our classrooms in action (if possible), meet some of our caring staff, and feel the heart of our Christ-centered community.

Complete Your Online Application
Once you’re ready to move forward, complete our online application for each child and submit the $100 non-refundable application fee. You’ll be asked to upload:

Student Assessment
Students entering 1st through 8th grade complete an admissions test to help us ensure proper placement and readiness. Accepted kindergarteners will test with our kindergarten teacher in the spring. She will contact you to schedule.

Testing begins January 2026 and is offered every Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Details about the testing process are further outlined below.

Student Reference Form

As part of the application process, all new students applying are required to submit a Student Reference Form completed by their current or most recent teacher (if applicable) and requested documentation.

This form helps us learn more about your child’s academic habits, classroom behavior, and overall readiness for Grace Lutheran School. We value this partnership with your child’s current educators as we work to ensure the best possible fit for every student.

Parents should:

  1. Sign the Student Reference Form.
  2. Provide it to your child’s teacher to complete and return directly to our Admissions Office via email or mail.
  3. Please note: applications are not considered complete until the reference form is received.

Optional Shadow Day
Families are welcome to request a shadow day for their child to experience some time in their prospective classroom.

Acceptance Decision
After all documents and assessments are reviewed, families will receive an email with their admissions decision.

Complete Enrollment
Upon acceptance, you’ll receive detailed enrollment instructions. Completing your online enrollment and paying your registration fee officially secures your child’s seat.
Please note: class placement is not guaranteed until enrollment is submitted and fees are paid.

Admissions Testing Process

All prospective students entering grades 1–8 complete our MAP Screening Process, which consists of four parts:

MAP Math Screening

  • Approximately 20 computer-based questions
  • Students may use scratch paper and pencil
  • Assesses grade-level math skills

MAP Reading Screening

  • Approximately 20 computer-based questions
  • Measures reading comprehension and vocabulary

Writing Sample

  • Students receive a prompt and respond using words, sentences, or a paragraph (depending on grade level)
  • This helps us understand writing ability, structure, and creativity

Read-Aloud Assessment

  • Students read an age-appropriate passage aloud
  • Evaluated for fluency, self-correction, confidence, comprehension, and use of punctuation cues

For middle school students, an additional math placement test may be administered after acceptance to determine the most suitable math class level.
